What you are buying

A licence to use the product, not the software itself. The licence covers the number of devices or installations stated when you buy it, and lasts for the period stated.

What a lapsed licence means

You stop receiving updates and new features. You do not lose access to the software you installed, to your own data, or to the ability to export it.

What you may not do

• Resell, sublicense or redistribute the software without a written agreement.
• Remove or work around licensing, and share one licence across more installations than it covers.
• Use it to break the law where you are.

Your data

Yours. For the desktop products it never leaves your machine unless you send it somewhere. For hosted products it lives on your deployment and you can take it with you.

Warranty and liability

The software is provided as-is. We will fix defects we can reproduce, but we cannot accept liability for lost profit or lost data. Keep backups — that advice applies to every piece of software you run, including ours.

Changes

If these terms change materially, anyone with an active licence gets told by email before the change applies.
